September

This month has seen a big jump in Byron's vocabulary. So I spent a week writing down all the words I heard him say. By the end of the week I had about 100 words, and he was adding new ones every day, just copying what he heard. He seems to understand most of the words he's saying (saying "stab" while poking Nathan with a pen, for instance) and he's starting to learn that he can ask for things and communicate a bit. Lots of fun.

Here's the list I'd written: (and how he pronounces them, if not properly)

He also tries to sing bits of Wiggles songs, like "quack quack", "nummy, nummy" (from "Fruit salad"), "Ho To" ("Hot potato"), "toot toot", with various actions. hehehe.

He is very quick at climbing on the kitchen chairs, now, since he realized that he can reach a lot of new things.

Asleep on the bouncy again.

Doing the actions for "Fruit Salad"

Static little adventure cubby under the bouncy

Reading "Henny". It's actually a very glittery book called "Dolphin finds a star", but all he cares about is that little purple octopus you can just make out on the last page. That's when we discovered he could say "Henny!". Then, to make sure we understood, he repeated it a hundred times.

Caught eating sugar.

From August

In his little denims

"Dance, Teddy, dance." Teddy, with wool tied to his ears and baby shoes on his feet, gets taught to "dass dass dass".

Quite pleased with himself and his chair-climbing ability.

Asleep on the floor again!

New little utensils. He got the hang of the fork very quickly.

Having a go at "The Chronicles of Narnia".

Wearing his new mittens on his feet.

Having his lemon butter sandwich at his kid-sized table.
